100% Hemp Handmade Fitted Sheet - Persimmon

A breathable fitted sheet handmade in small batches from the long-staple 100% hemp fabric TheMoreHemp has used for six years. Persimmon is a warm orange-red that adds rich, grounded color. The pure woven hemp sleeping surface contains no polyester, rayon or viscose.

Hemp has a naturally dry, finely textured hand rather than the slick feel of synthetics. Our longer fibers are chosen for a smoother, less prickly surface than short-fiber hemp, and the fabric becomes softer and more settled with every wash and night of use. No customer has reported persistent scratchiness from this fabric in our six years of working with it, although individual sensitivities vary.

For the cleanest fit, choose the dimensions closest to your mattress. If your mattress falls between two options, select the larger size and allow the full-perimeter elastic to secure the excess fabric underneath.

Fit and construction

The elastic runs around the entire sheet rather than only at the corners. It is fully sewn inside a hemp-fabric channel, so the elastic does not touch the skin directly. A fitted shape keeps the sheet close to the mattress while allowing the natural woven fabric to breathe.

Natural color and texture

Hemp is a plant fiber, and our bedding is made in small batches. Subtle variations in persimmon tone, weave and texture can occur from one batch to another. These are natural characteristics, not faults.

Care

• Wash cold on a gentle cycle with similar colors
• Use a mild liquid detergent
• Do not bleach or use fabric softener
• Line dry when possible; avoid high heat
• Reshape while damp and expect natural wrinkles
• Wash deep colors separately for the first few washes

Natural fibers can contract with heat. Cold washing and line drying best preserve the stated size and pocket depth.

Questions, answered

Is a 100% hemp sheet rough or scratchy?
Our long-staple hemp has a fine, dry texture and is selected for comfortable direct contact with skin. It is not brushed-cotton soft on the first night, but it relaxes and becomes noticeably softer through washing and use.

Is it suitable for hot sleepers?
Hemp is breathable and helps moisture disperse instead of trapping heat against the body. Personal comfort varies with room temperature, mattress and climate.

Can sensitive skin use hemp bedding?
We chose long fibers because short, coarse fibers can feel prickly. Our founder has sensitive skin and developed this fabric around that experience. Sensitivities are individual, so contact us before ordering if you need specific construction details.

Will it shrink?
Some natural contraction is possible, especially with heat. Use a cold gentle wash and line dry; do not use a hot wash or high-heat dryer.

Will it fit a deep mattress?
Choose a 40 cm / 16 in pocket option for mattresses up to that depth. The 30 cm / 11.8 in options suit lower-profile mattresses. Include any topper when measuring.

Will it stay on the mattress?
Full-perimeter elastic holds all four sides under the mattress. Correct mattress measurements are essential for the most secure fit.
