100% Hemp Handmade Duvet Cover - Natural Hemp

A breathable duvet cover handmade in small batches from the long-staple 100% hemp fabric TheMoreHemp has worked with for six years. Natural Hemp is an undyed oat-beige tone that preserves the quiet variation of the plant fiber. The pure woven hemp sleeping surface contains no polyester, rayon or viscose.

Longer hemp fibers create a finer, smoother surface than lower-cost short-fiber hemp. The fabric begins with a clean, dry natural texture, then becomes softer and more settled with every wash and night of use. No customer has reported persistent scratchiness from this fabric during our six years of working with it, although individual sensory preferences vary.

For a relaxed fit, choose the closest cover to your insert dimensions. A cover that is much larger may allow the insert to shift; one that is too small can compress the filling. Need another size? Contact us before ordering for a custom quote.

Natural color and texture

Hemp is a plant fiber, and our bedding is made in small batches. Subtle variations in natural hemp tone, weave and texture can occur from one batch to another. These are natural characteristics, not faults.

Care

• Wash cold on a gentle cycle with similar colors
• Close the cover and turn it inside out before washing
• Use a mild liquid detergent
• Do not bleach or use fabric softener
• Line dry when possible; avoid high heat
• Reshape while damp and expect natural wrinkles
• Wash deeper colors separately for the first few washes

Natural fibers can contract with heat. Cold washing and line drying best preserve the stated dimensions.

Questions, answered

Is a 100% hemp duvet cover scratchy?
Our long-staple hemp is selected for comfortable direct contact with skin. It has a fine, dry texture rather than a slippery finish and becomes noticeably softer through washing and use.

Is it suitable for hot sleepers?
Hemp is breathable and helps moisture disperse instead of trapping warm, damp air around the body. Personal comfort varies with the duvet insert, room temperature and climate.

Can sensitive skin use hemp bedding?
Our founder has sensitive skin, and we use long fibers because short, coarse fibers can feel prickly. Sensitivities are individual, so contact us before ordering if you need specific construction details.

Will it shrink?
Some natural contraction is possible, especially with heat. Use a cold gentle wash and line dry; avoid hot washing and high-heat drying.

Does it stay fresh?
The breathable, moisture-managing structure of hemp helps reduce the warm, damp conditions in which odor can build up. Washing frequency still depends on the sleeper, duvet insert and climate.
